Bienvenidos a Medellín!

It’s an intentional first evening centered on community, culture, and connection.

Our Medellín Relocation Seminar provides an opportunity to learn about important aspects of establishing life in Colombia.

After the seminar, we’ll step away from the presentations and experience everyday Medellín with a local market tour.
You’ll have an opportunity to explore local foods, produce, shopping, and some of the everyday rhythms of life in the city.
Experience: Relocation Seminar • Local Market Tour
It’s time to start answering one of the biggest relocation questions:
Where could I actually see myself living?
We’ll explore Envigado and Sabaneta, two communities south of Medellín that prospective residents often research when comparing places to live in the metropolitan area.
Rather than simply driving through, we’ll explore the neighborhoods from the perspective of someone considering everyday life there.
Depending on availability, the day may include visits to residential areas, commercial districts, parks, transportation points, local businesses, and sample apartment properties.
Apartment visits are intended to provide examples of housing styles and market conditions. Specific properties, prices, rental terms, and availability can change and are not guaranteed.
That evening, we’ll shift from neighborhoods to something equally important: community.
You’ll attend an included Expat Community Event, providing an opportunity to meet people, have conversations, and hear different perspectives on living abroad.
Experience: Envigado • Sabaneta • Neighborhood Exploration • Sample Apartment Tours • Expat Community Event
Today we’ll explore another side of Medellín: Laureles.
You’ll experience the neighborhood on the ground while learning about its residential areas, restaurants, cafés, transportation, recreation, and everyday environment.
We’ll also visit sample apartments, subject to property availability, so you can compare housing styles and locations with what you experienced in Envigado and Sabaneta.
The goal isn’t to tell you which neighborhood is “best.”
It’s to give you firsthand context so you can begin determining which environment may better align with your lifestyle and priorities.
We’ll end the day over dinner with members of Medellín’s expat community.
This is an opportunity for conversation, questions, and hearing different experiences and perspectives about building a life abroad.
Experience: Laureles • Neighborhood Exploration • Sample Apartment Tours • Expat Community Dinner
Today we’ll explore one of Medellín’s most internationally recognized neighborhoods: El Poblado.
We’ll experience different parts of the neighborhood and look beyond its reputation as a dining and nightlife destination to consider what everyday life there can look like.
Depending on availability, we’ll explore residential areas, transportation, amenities, local businesses, and sample apartment properties.
By this point, you’ll have experienced several different residential environments:
Envigado • Sabaneta • Laureles • El Poblado
That gives you firsthand points of comparison as you continue researching where you might want to live if you eventually relocate to the Medellín area.
Experience: El Poblado • Neighborhood Exploration • Sample Apartment Tours
Relocation isn’t only about where you live.
It’s also about how you connect with the place you may someday call home.
Our Expat Community Volunteer Day provides an opportunity to participate in a locally coordinated community activity and experience another side of Medellín beyond the typical visitor experience.
The specific organization, activity, location, and volunteer opportunity may vary depending on community needs and availability.
Afterward, we’ll gather for our Farewell Lunch.
This is our opportunity to reflect on the week, exchange information, talk about what you’ve learned, and discuss questions you may want to investigate further after returning home.
Experience: Community Volunteer Activity • Farewell Lunch • Group Reflection
Enjoy your final morning in Medellín before departure.
More importantly, take some time to reflect on what you’ve experienced.
Over the previous six days, you’ve had an opportunity to explore several neighborhoods, see examples of local housing, learn about relocation considerations, experience everyday environments, meet people, and engage with the community.
You may leave Medellín with new questions—and that’s okay.
The purpose of the tour isn’t to make your relocation decision for you.
It’s to give you firsthand experiences and information that can become part of your own research when deciding whether moving to Medellín, Colombia aligns with your goals, circumstances, and lifestyle.
Experience Medellín. Ask better questions. Make your own informed decision.
