February and March are among the driest months of the year. May through September — when Phuket is in monsoon season — is generally dry and warm on Koh Samui.

Rainy Season — October to December
Koh Samui’s rainy season is driven by the northeast monsoon — the opposite pattern from Phuket. October and November bring the most significant rains, with November typically the wettest month on the island. The rains can be heavy and sustained.
